General info: Sam Tatsu is a Chinese foreign exchange student whom became friends with Kurama and Katou. But with the magic words: Tatsu Kame, He becomes Dante Tatsu the magic mutant turtle.

Background story from Turtle Hakusho: Sam Tatsu was born in China, where his family was a royal advisiors to the Emperor. Sam wanted to go to Japan when he was old enogh to become a top student and bright magician to make his family proud. He moved to Japan at the age of 16. While he was trying to find his classesin college he ran into Kurama. Kurama and Sam talked and Sam decided to live near the college.
